Please welcome to our new tasty family of restaurants; Luis Jr.'s Mexican Food & Spirits, a proud nominee of the KCRA3 A*List for Best Mexican! "if you don't know Luis Jr.'s, you don't know Sacramento!" ~ Luis Leyva.

Family owned and operated since 1965, Luis Jr.'s is the second generation to the famed original "Luis's Mexican Restaurant." I can remember watching his commercials (as a child.. cough) the commercials featuring "Big Time Wrestling" not to mention walking into the "Sacramento Hall of Fame" of old time pictures on the restaurant walls. Every head turn you were caught eye to eye with a framed picture of Luis smiling alongside (who also had a big smile on) our own governor Jerry Brown; famous Latino actor, James Almos Jr; basketball veteran famer, Bill Cartwright; Oakland A's hall of famer, Rickey Henderson; true for his B-ball tricks, Magic Johnson, 49er fave, Jerry Rice, the legendary Dr. J; bad a... legendary boxer, Hector Macho Camacho, many more celebrities and not to mention our own mayor Kevin Johnson in his primal days of B-ball glory (smile). Mr. Mayor, perhaps its time to get a new hall of fame wall pic  ;-)

As tradition is their main focus, providing excellence is their standard. "We make our own fresh home made flour tortillas" said owner Luis Jr. Sitting down and discussing our plans, his main worry was to ensure that his customers would be taken care of... His heart is as big as his restaurant, he always has plenty of great stories to tell you, leaving you in chuckles and his best quality is striving for excellence. Having had the treat and opportunity to dine on some of their truly authentic Mexican food brought memories of just what I remembered and how I still wanted more of it..

New creative dishes were added, a warm personable service, seeing loyal customers always making time to give him props and thanks and not to mention some pretty dang good Happy Hour specialties ~The Midori Melon Bomb definitely rocks, bring em on!

What else truly rocks, they are now going to deliver those mucho delicious plates right to you! Yes, that's right! We are happy to announce that Sac Dine-In Delivery will be delivering for Luis Jr.'s Mexican Food & Spirits.

We will be offering LUNCH hour delivery times:

Sun - Sat: 11:00am - 4:00pm

DINNER hour delivery times:

Mon - Sat: 4:00pm - 9:00pm 

Sundays:   4:00pm - 8:00pm
