FOOTHILLS K9 ASSOCIATION is a non-profit charitable organization incorporated in 2005 for the sole purpose of serving the active and retired law enforcement K9’s in: 

• Placer County Sheriff
• City of Roseville
• City of Rocklin
• City of Folsom
• City of Placerville
• City of Galt
• Sutter County
  
• Yuba County
  
• Twin Rivers District

We provide much-needed funding for items which are not provided due to departmental budget constraints. These items include, but not limited to, providing specialized safety equipment [vests] for the active k9’s and providing for the cremation and/or burial services for those k9’s who have come to ‘the end of their watch’. Replacement K9’s to make our streets safer.

It is generally excepted that each K9’s is equal to a deterrent factor of 3-4 officers. This makes very good community sense. Each and every K9 is a budget cutting investment… They deserve a full retirement and our respect.
