- You aren't likely to see any reindeer in the Roseville Galleria parking lot this Christmas season, but you might see some horses. That's because security has mounted patrol on horseback as part of their strategy. "They work closely with the mall's team and can communicate any issues with theft, traffic, or parking problems." (ABC10)
- City Councilmember Scott Alvord and the Roseville Volunteer Force are working hard to raise money for a Roseville family in need. This is a neat program. The money raised is used to purchase gift cards to give to the mom of the family. She, then, gets to play Santa for the family and buy everything they need for the perfect celebration for them! If you'd like to help, you can find all of the deets at this Facebook page.
- Folsom Lake College is getting a new science building! The community is invited to the ground breaking on November 30. "Upon completion, the 75,000-gross-square-foot instructional building will be the largest science facility within the Los Rios Community College District and will house six biology labs, six chemistry labs and a 4,000-square-foot science center." (Village Life)
- Are you excited about the Downtown Holiday Celebration with the tree lighting on December 1? There's also a gingerbread contest and a North Pole Tavern to check out! The City of Roseville doesn't want you to miss any of the Christmas Cheer, so they've got a handy list of all of the fun at this city website.
Today in Roseville:
- Bring a new unwrapped toy to the Toys for Tots Donation Event in front of Granite Bay High School. Volunteers will gratefully accept your donations to benefit less fortunate children this Christmas. You might even meet Santa there. (10:00 AM)
- Scott Graham will be at Gaslight Co. in Folsom. (2:00 PM)
- "Heavy Weight Comedy brings you a Lineup of some of the Greatest Comedians throughout Northern California," at Oliver's Brewhouse in Lincoln. (7:00 PM)
From my notebook:
- The Roseville Police Department "enjoyed a delicious turkey dinner from Randy Peters care of Danielle Roe Events. And for the 10th year in a row, Roxie Deli brought by some tasty BBQ turkey and fixings." (City of Roseville, California Police Department via Facebook)
- "The Roseville Boy Scout Troop 11 is hosting their 46th annual Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, December 17th 2022 from 7am to 11am at our Veterans Hall (110 Park Drive, Roseville CA 95678). Admission $5." (Roseville American Legion Post 169, Roseville, Calif via Facebook)
