Kids Get Sweet ‘Citation’ For Wearing Helmets
Roseville Police started a new program where they hand out "citations" to kids who are wearing their helmets while riding their bike. The "citation" is good for a treat at a local business.

Roseville kids are getting some sweet rewards for wearing head protection while biking.
Roseville Police officers have adopted a new program of providing instant rewards to kids they find riding their bikes while wearing a helmet.
Recently, Roseville Officers Greg Lieberman and Gary Cole visited an apartment complex in west Roseville and caught a group of youngsters in the act – of wearing their helmets while bike riding. They promptly issued the youths "citations" good for a treat at a local business.

Roseville Public Safety Communications Supervisor Eric Parks started the program and contacted local businesses about donating treat coupons for the kids. and , both on Douglas Boulevard, on Foothills Boulevard and agreed to donate coupons to the police department.
