Know a Kid Who Deserves a Shopping Spree?

Roseville is accepting nominations for its "Shop with a Cop" program. The next shopping spree will be held Dec. 10.

Give a deserving child a shopping spree this holiday season, courtesy of the Roseville Police Department and local organizations. If you know of a deserving Roseville student who works hard in school and stays out of trouble, you can nominate him or her to “Shop with a Cop.”

Each month, Roseville students are selected to go on a shopping spree with a Roseville Police officer for new clothes and shoes. The program, which is a community effort among the Roseville Police Department, Roseville Police Activities League and local businesses and organizations, is designed to build a better relationship among police officers, community organizations and students.

Roseville students between the ages of 5 and 18 are eligible. Students will be selected based on their need and his or her commitment to stay in school and avoid a gang or criminal lifestyle. The next shopping trip is set for Dec. 10.
