Here are the top stories today in Roseville:

  1. Hey, Roseville! Let's kick off the holiday season with a "craft faire"! The Needle Arts Club at Sun City invites you to join its Holiday Craft Faire on November 5, including the bake sale and book sale at Timber Creek Lodge. (Roseville Today)
  2. Are you ready to burn off those calories before you ingest them on Thanksgiving? The City of Roseville has you covered with the annual Turkey Trot in Downtown Roseville. You don't have to run. I love these races. I get out there and walk 'em and I still get to enjoy all of the festivities and gather another finishers medal! (Roseville Today)
  3. This is an awful story: An 89-year-old was accosted by an intruder who said he needed to retrieve a child's ball from the victim's backyard. The incident happened on Monday in Lincoln. The victim allowed the perpetrator into her house to access the backyard, but when he entered he allegedly pulled a knife on the elderly woman and took her purse, credit cards and cash. The police ask anyone with information to call the police chief’s assistant Renee Maldonado at 916-645-4057 or 916-645-4040. (KTXL FOX 40 Sacramento)
  4. The Fiddyment Farms and Sun City areas of Roseville experienced the nightmare before Halloween, and this was no Tim Burton flick. Between 10:00 pm and 11:00 pm, several young men allegedly went on a vandalism spree, destroying nearly $6,000 worth of Halloween decorations. The vandals were caught and arrested on suspicion of felony vandalism. (Sacramento Bee via MSN)
