Looking for what to do with your family this 4th of July?

Are you trying to figure out what to do with your family this 4th of July? I decided I should blog about all the local options before I leave on vacation and forget. I hope you have a fun and safe 4th and you enjoy every second with your family!!!

ROSEVILLE

Run Crime Out Of Roseville! 5K Fun Run Guess who's back and in tip top shape to run again! Police Chief Daniel Hahn is putting out the challenge again this year and inviting you to come try your best to beat him at the upcoming "Run Crime out of Roseville 5K Fun Run"! Please join the Roseville Crime Stoppers at Royer Park on the morning of the 4th of July to kick off the 4th of July celebration with your family, neighbors and friends. Parade
Come out for the return of the Independence Day parade! The parade begins at 10 a.m. at the intersection of Riverside/Vernon/Douglas, continues along Vernon Street past the Civic Center, turns right on Lincoln Street before turning right again onto Park Drive. Be sure to arrive early to get your preferred viewing spot.

Royer Park Activities
Stay for the fun after the parade in Royer Park from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Carnival games, bounce houses, food vendors and music by the Capitol Pops Concert Band are just some of the festivities planned for Royer Park. Fireworks
Finish your day of celebration at the Placer County Fairgrounds for fireworks. Gates open at 7 p.m., and the show begins at approximately 9:30 p.m. No alcohol, glass containers, barbecues or personal fireworks permitted. Refreshments will be available for purchase at the fairgrounds. $5 fairgrounds parking fee.

Fourth on the Field 
Raley Field will host a first-of-its-kind Fourth of July celebration this Independence Day, when the food truck community will gather on Raley Field’s outfield for a family-friendly event featuring some of the region’s best local food, live music, and a fireworks extravaganza, presented by Bug Zappers Pest Control. Admission Info: General $8; Children $5 *Tickets for the inaugural Fourth on the Field event are limited, so patrons are encouraged to get them early. *Tickets available online via the "Buy Tickets" button or in person at Raley Field’s Round Table Pizza Ticket Office. *The first 1,000 children will receive a free ticket with the purchase of an adult ticket. CARMICHAEL

Carmichael Park Celebration Starting with a pancake breakfast, Carmichael’s annual parade and fireworks show is kicking off its 54th year of festivities this 4th of July. After breakfast (7am-11am), grab a seat on Fair Oaks Blvd for the parade. Then, head over in the evening to the La Sierra Community Center, where there will be kids’ games, inflatables, arts & crafts and plenty of food, music and fun. The fireworks will be shown at around 9:30pm, with the evening events kicking off at 7.

CITRUS HEIGHTS

Sunrise Mall Celebration Sunrise Mall Parking Lot, Citrus Heights Enjoy a free fireworks show and a jammin’ blues band at the Sunrise Mall in Citrus Heights. Every visitor will receive free parking and free 3-D glasses to watch the fireworks display. Kids will enjoy carnival rides available for a small fee, and all proceeds benefit the Mesa Verde Sober Graduation fund. July 4th, 7:30pm-10:30pm
