Here are the top stories today in Roseville:

  1. An ugly accident on Folsom-Auburn Road yesterday had traffic backed up from Douglas Boulevard to Beals Point! The accident happened a little before 9:00 a.m. and sent several victims to the hospital. All lanes were open again by 10:00 a.m. (Folsom Telegraph)
  2. Help fill a box of hope for local hospitalized children at a fundraiser at Monk's Cellar on Feb 8. Leadership Roseville is teamed with local nonprofit All About Hope to fill art boxes for young people who are hospitalized. “This is the first year the Leadership Roseville class was able to choose the project we worked on and as soon as we heard Cindy’s story our whole class was onboard to support these children throughout our community," said Lauren Razzano, member of Leadership Roseville class of 2023.   3. Loomis Costco is about to become a reality. The groundbreaking is set for some time in February. "Costco will start tree removal with clear weather, according to [Loomis Town Manager Sean] Rabe, and hopes to finish grading and storm drain work by mid-March." (Gold Country Media)
  4. Roseville Mayor Bruce Houdesheldt has a message of thanks for those city workers who got us through the recent deluges with minimal damage and maximum safety. He's also grateful to those who sat in the City Council seat before him, and ensured we had the infrastructure to weather such large storms.   5. A daycare was evacuated on Crescendo Drive in Roseville Thursday as a suspect was holed up in a house nearby. Residents were asked to shelter in place as they tried to draw the suspect out. The suspect was taken into custody without incident. (KCRA3)
