- Don't expect to get very far on the southbound State Route 65 (SR-65) connector ramp to eastbound Interstate 80 (I-80) in Roseville. Caltrans announced nightly closures through August 13 for guardrail work. (Roseville Today)
- Head over to Fox40 to see what Roseville officials have done to prepare for a drought. The city's new technology boosts its groundwater supply by collecting water from previous snowmelt and rainy seasons into underground wells to save for dry times. (Fox40)
- More than 1,000 people gathered in Roseville to protest a mandate requiring COVID-19 vaccines for all Kaiser Permanente health care workers. The company defended its stance, saying that, while they respect the right to protest peacefully, Kaiser maintains that "[w]idespread vaccination is our best hope of eradicating the virus and helping communities stay safe." California health care workers have until the end of September to get at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. (Fox40)
- A Folsom doctor is taking his commitment to helping low-income mothers to the trails. Dr. Timothy Phelan plans to run the Castle Peak 100K, raising money and awareness for the Sacramento Life Center. Although Phelan has never completed such a grueling route, he seeks to raise $10,000 for the cause. (KCRA Sacramento)
