Merryhill Elementary School Raises Money to Feed 5,000 Children

Students collected monetary donations for nonprofit organization Feed My Starving Children

Students at Merryhill Elementary School in Roseville recently donated $800 to Feed My Starving Children. The total amount raised will be enough to feed 5,040 children in need. The donations were the result of a schoolwide effort to collect quarters and other change donations to aid in the fight against hunger. At the close of the drive, students counted the change and sent a check donation to the organization. Through this initiative, students learned the importance of giving back to others during the holiday season.

Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) is dedicated to seeing every child whole in body and spirit. FMSC works with food distribution partners that stay with communities for the long haul, empowering them to move from relief to development.
