Money Being Raised for Car Crash Victim's Wife
Roseville man suspected of killing a pedestrian remains in jail without bail, facing murder, DUI.

While the man suspected of killing a 26-year-old Roseville man in an alcohol-fueled car crash remains in jail facing murder, a donation fund has been started for a newly-widowed wife.
Gregory Louis de la Campa was killed on impact Tuesday night when 50-year-old allegedly struck him while fleeing from police and causing a at Washington Boulevard and Main Street. Tarasuk remains in the Placer County Jail, in Auburn, without bail and is scheduled to appear in court today at 1 p.m. for an arraignment hearing and to confirm counsel.
The donation fund was at $99 Thursday afternoon, and was started by Erika Wilson. She wrote that she's trying to raise money for the victim's wife and wants to make a difference by doing “something positive and meaningful for our neighbor in need.”

“Please help me to pull our community together and raise as much as we can for this sweet woman who has had such tragedy in her life,” Wilson wrote on the site.
Tarasuk has been charged with several felony counts, including murder, two DUI charges, evading police officers and resisting an officer. There are also special allegations of him having two to three previous “strikes,” a court clerk said.

Another online donation fund has been set up to benefit the victim. Almost $900 has been raised, as of Friday afternoon.
According to the donation website, the fund was set up by Cheryl De La Campa, Greg's sister. She wrote:
We are so touched at the quick response of Gregory's family & friends who are generously donating on his behalf. We miss him so much and he is so dear to our hearts. This money will be collected and given to his wife, Julia. In the midst of this tragedy, it is so heartwarming to read your comments and thoughts about how much Greg meant to you. He touched so many lives and was such an amazing brother, son, husband, uncle, and friend. On behalf of myself and my family, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. I love you my brother, and will miss you like crazy.
