Monthly Mobile Food Fests May Come to Roseville

Roseville may partner with SactoMoFo for monthly mobile food truck roundups in Downtown Roseville.

Thursday, Aug. 9 could mark the first monthly mobile food roundup event in Downtown Roseville.

During the , councilmembers will discuss and possibly approve the roundups, which could take place the second Thursday of the month.

If approved, the City of Roseville plans to partner with Sacramento Mobile Food, or SactoMoFo, for the monthly food truck events. In May, the two also partnered for a of Downtown Roseville’s Town Square. According to the City, because that event was a success, they hope to have monthly mobile food festivals on Vernon Street between Lincoln and Grant streets. The streets would be open for pedestrians only during the events.

The roundups are estimated to cost $450 in Public Works staffing that covers set-up, signage and street closures, according to city documents. It will also cost about $200 a month to rent tables and chairs and portable bathrooms.

Within the last two years, there have been a few mobile food truck events in Roseville — one at the , the and most recently at the .
