The real estate market in our area is changing rapidly. Consider:
- Median sale price is down 10% since May
- Sales volume has declined by about 25%
- Mortgage rates have increased faster than at any point in the last 40 years
Changing markets present opportunities. And whether buying, selling or investing, to find those opportunities you need a Realtor with deep local knowledge and an understanding of the latest market data and trends.

Here are the top stories in Roseville today:
- Roseville Police received a call about a stolen vehicle with children inside at 7:20 a.m. Saturday. Twenty-three frantic minutes later, one of the children called 911 to report that they were safe, but the suspect had fled on foot. The incident happened at the corner of Washington Boulevard and Pleasant Grove Boulevard, after the mother of the 6- and 11-year-olds went into the business there while her kids waited for her in the car. The suspect was last seen walking along Watt Avenue. (Gold Country Media)
- The Roseville Galleria is beefing up security as shoppers flock to the mall ahead of the holidays. "Theft is detrimental to the retailers, but we just really want people to feel safe and feel secure," said Jennifer Crowley, marketing director for the Galleria. The mall has more "boots on the ground" as well as an improved surveillance system at work to keep us all safe and secure as we shop, shop, shop for those on our Christmas lists. (ABC10.com KXTV)
- Placer County Animal Services received statewide recognition for one of its programs, in which PCAS partnered with PetSmart on cat adoption. The unique public/private partnership helped to drive adoptions of 850 cats and kittens — a full 30% of total county cat adoptions. (Roseville Today)
- The California Highway Patrol released the name of the officer involved in a collision on I-5 in Sacramento that killed two brothers on Tuesday morning. Detective Jonathon Thomas Nangle, 31, of Rocklin, was driving an unmarked car while on duty when he crossed the white line and collided with two brothers who were standing outside of a disabled vehicle on the shoulder. This is not Nangle's first on-duty traffic incident. "Nangle was behind the wheel while on duty in an April 2021 collision, according to a civil lawsuit filed in Sacramento Superior Court." (Sacramento Bee via MSN)
- As part of a national campaign called Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over, the Citrus Heights police department will deploy additional resources through the rest of the year to monitor for DUI drivers. "Starting on Wednesday, Dec. 14, through New Year’s Day, extra officers will be on duty looking for drivers who appear under the influence of alcohol or drugs," per an announcement from CHPD.
