Here are the top three stories today in Roseville:

  1. Six people were sent to the hospital Wednesday afternoon following a multi-vehicle crash near Sunrise Avenue and Coloma Way in Roseville. News video footage of the crash showed at least four vehicles involved, including three with apparent heavy damage. According to officials, two people involved were in critical condition after the incident, and the intersection was closed for several hours afterward. (KCRA Sacramento)
  2. Some upcoming road work in Roseville will result in overnight closures of a portion of Baseline Road this weekend. Baseline between Fiddyment Road and Watt Avenue will be shut down from 9 p.m. tonight through 5 a.m. tomorrow (Apr. 29), and from 9 p.m. tomorrow through 5 a.m. Saturday (Apr. 30). Residents will be allowed entry to neighborhoods off of Westbrook Boulevard, but all other traffic will be detoured to Walerga Road, PFE Road, and Watt Avenue. Roseville drivers are advised to plan their routes accordingly. (Press Release Desk)
  3. Roseville High School went under lockdown yesterday morning after a student was suspected of stealing a gun. Roseville High Principal Dr. Nicholas Richter reportedly sent a message to parents explaining that a school resource officer contacted the student after learning about the alleged gun theft, which prompted that student to run from the officer. The gun was eventually located off-campus, and the lockdown was lifted as soon as the student had been caught and detained. No further details have been released at this time. (CBS Sacramento)
