- Two Nevada women were arrested at a Roseville gas station Tuesday afternoon after dropping off two toddlers, a two-year-old and a four-year-old, at a Northern California fire station. The children, identified later as the grandchildren of one of the women, were left at the station with sparse information before the women sped away. (Sacramento Bee)
- WOD Wednesdays are returning to line-up of programs offered by the Roseville Police Activities League (RPAL). WOD is a CrossFit style workout appropriate for all fitness levels. Existing RPAL members and potential recruits are invited to join in on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month at 5:00 pm at 110 Corporation Yard Road. The next workout is on August 4th. RPAL is open to youth ages 8-17 who live in or go to school in Roseville. (Roseville Police Activities League)
- Calling all artists! Blue Line Arts is requesting proposals, on behalf of The Fountains shopping center, for a permanent mural to go behind the main stage in the outdoor performance area of the center. - The Roseville Daily has your scoop for tickets to a free watch party at Golden 1 Center for the NBA Draft on July 29. The Sacramento Kings are hosting the party for fans to watch all the excitement on the 4K Ultra HD videoboard inside the arena. There will be food and drink specials, music by DJ Elements, appearances by Kings’ personalities and opportunities to win prizes. Doors will open at 4:30 pm. - California school children will not have to learn on empty stomachs any more thanks to an item in the 2021-22 state budget that will provide free school meals to all students. "Free School Meals for All" is a landmark program, the first statewide program of its kind, that rallied support from many coalitions, including anti-hunger organizations, schools, farmers, labor, public health and environmental groups. - Outdoor Concert: The Summer of Music series features the classic rock and blues of Dad’s Impala at City Lions Park. Bring blankets or chairs and a picnic, or purchase dinner from one of the food trucks. 7:00 pm-9:00 pm
- Butler Amusements Summer Carnival: Summertime fair fun with rides, arcade games, food and more at Cal Expo. Tickets are $5 at the event; children under 36 inches are free. Parking is $10. 4:00 pm-midnight
