Here are the top stories in Roseville today:

  1. If you think your Christmas tree is difficult to put up each year, check out this video of Roseville's Holiday Tree installation at Vernon Street Town Square yesterday! Be sure to save the date for the Tree Lighting and Tree Grove on December 2nd. It's gonna be lit! Literally! (two puns in one!) (ABC 10)
  2. Roseville has once again been recognized by the Center for Digital Government in their Digital Cities Survey for the city's efforts to improve the "digital experience" for residents and business. Our 8th place ranking among mid-sized cities took into account how our city government uses technology to address social issues, enhance services and strengthen cybersecurity, among other criteria. Bragging rights: our fair city is a regular winner in this survey. (Roseville Today)
  3. A disturbing video recording of an incident at a youth soccer game that took place at Festersen Park on October 30th has been forwarded to the Placer County District Attorney, who will decide whether to pursue criminal charges. A parent from one team at the game between two 15-year-old boy teams ran across the field to knock an assistant referee to the ground after a disputed call. The 31-year-old referee is “good” according to his father. All I can add to this is, DON'T do this. (KCRA 3)
