Here are the top stories today in Roseville:

  1. Two people who allegedly had personally identifying information not belonging to them were brought into custody by Roseville Police. Found inside their vehicle during a traffic stop were “numerous items of personally identifying information not belonging to any of the vehicle’s occupants including debit/credit cards, a checkbook, driver’s licenses, and a notebook containing a list of names, birth dates, and bank account numbers.” Azel Tinsley, 45, and Amy Crawford, 45, were both arrested for intent to defraud, among other offenses. (KTXL FOX 40 Sacramento)
  2. The Brick Palooza Lego Festival is happening this weekend @The Grounds Event Center! "This is the only Lego Festival in Northern California, according to the event website." So grab your favorite Lego fan and head over! It'll be gone before you know it. (ABC10.com KXTV)
  3. The Placer County Conservation Program acquired more than 1,400 acres of land in the Sheridan area with the intent of preserving the pristine wetlands and grasslands. “Preserving western Placer County’s wetlands and vernal pool grasslands protects some of the most ecologically important and distinctive areas in California,” Placer County District 2 Supervisor Robert Weygandt said. For more information on the project visit https://www.placer.ca.gov/pccp. (Roseville Today)
  4. The Rocklin City Council approved a resolution for a ground lease agreement for an affordable housing project in the downtown area at its meeting last Tuesday. Community HousingWork presented the resolution to the council for its Oak & Pine Affordable Apartments project, which will be situated at the corner of Oak Street and Pine Street in Rocklin. "The project plans to serve large families earning 30 percent to 60 percent median income." (Gold Country Media)
  5. If you called 17-year-old Naysa Bhargava perfect, you'd be right, at least as far as her score on the Advanced Placement Computer Science A exam goes. That's right, the Vista Del Lago High School senior was one of only 369 students in the world to get a perfect score on that exam. The college board, which administers the exams, even wrote a personal letter to the young lady saying, in part, "We applaud your mastery of the content and skills of this AP course and wish you many future successes." I bet she'll have many. (KCRA Sacramento)
