Placer County Fair Hosts Party to Raise Funds
To make up for loss in state funding, the Placer County Fair is hosting a "Placer County Barnyard Hoedown" in Roseville Jan. 26.

Grab your cowboy boots and hat for a “Placer County Barnyard Hoedown.” The party will raise much-needed funds for the Roseville fair and speedway, after more than $200,000 was lost in state funding, according to a news release.
Tickets are $40 for the hoedown and include music by four country bands — “Branded,” “Patrick Walsh,” Hank Biggs” and “Matt Larson” — as well as a barbecue dinner of tri-tip and chicken, a mechanical bull competition and “cow patty bingo.”
An added bonus: All attendees will also get three free tickets to fair events — one admission to the All American Speedway, one admission to the Berryfest and one admission to the Placer County Fair.
