Here are the top stories in Roseville today:
- Roseville Today is tracking Santa and spotted him testing out his sleigh so he'll be ready for the big night. Its "remote sensors and cameras at undisclosed locations near the North Pole" detected sleigh tracks and can provide other inside information on Santa's preparation for the flight. The best advice? "Children are advised to listen to their parents and get to bed at an appropriate time for Santa’s visit." (Roseville Today)
- Fourteen-year-old Teddy James Bogert was last seen on November 15, leaving the Del Oro High School parking lot on foot. He is among several people who are missing from Placer County. The county has a website listing all of the people currently who are missing, to help you keep your eye out. You can see it at placer.ca.gov.
- Lincoln Firefighters held a turkey drive on November 17 and hit the jackpot! Residents donated 1,056 turkeys to the cause. "The number one donor group was Lincoln’s Christian Life Center, delivering 150 turkeys and beating the 92 they delivered last year." There will be some happy families feasting at Thanksgiving, thanks to the giving nature of the residents of Lincoln. (Gold Country Media)
- The Rocklin school board is concerned about losing funding due to the passage of Proposition 28, which was actually supposed to allocate additional funds to schools for music and arts. The Rocklin district had already secured considerable funding for those programs prior to the passage of Proposition 28, which takes into consideration how much the schools are currently funding the arts. So the school board is discussing the best strategy for using existing funds and maximizing Prop 28 funds. (Gold Country Media)
