- The city of Roseville reminds you to "give your sprinklers a holiday." During the winter, especially when rain is expected to be prevalent, residents are advised to adjust their sprinkler timer, or just turn it off altogether. "You can also invest in a WaterSense-labeled weather-based sprinkler timer and never have to worry about your sprinkler schedule. These controllers use current local weather and landscape conditions to adjust the watering schedule and make sure your plants get just the right amount of water." (Roseville)
