Here are the top five stories in Roseville today:
- Bring your doggie to dinner! Join the Placer SPCA for its annual Woof Wine & Dine event under the twinkling lights of Vernon Street Town Square on May 21 from 6 pm - 9 pm. Old Town Pizza and Vegan Plate will be there to please your palate and Final Gravity Taproom and Nello Olivo will bring the libations. I hope Nello Olivo brings some Grapefather wine! It's da bomb! (Roseville Today)
- A Roseville mother says her 8-year-old daughter was sexually assaulted by a man who was experiencing homelessness. The mother says that the young girl was lured away from her yard by Andrew Thaddeus Troitan Adam, the man Roseville police arrested for the assault. He is currently being held without bail at the South Placer Jail. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 4. (KCRA Sacramento)
- Placer High's Addie Arsenith has won the A. Dale Lacky Scholarship award for her prowess on the basketball court and her calm, cool demeanor off of it. “She’s polite, kind and caring. She is exactly what the Lacky award is all about. She is the perfect choice,” Placer girls basketball coach Tony Camillucci said. Way to represent Addie! And best of luck in your college career! (Gold County Media)
- Beginning May 1, watering days shift from two days a week to three. Residential watering is now permitted only on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Restrictions do not apply to your drip irrigation systems. (Patch)
- The Rocklin City Council held a special presentation for the 2022 Ruhkala Community Service Award Winners at the April 26 meeting. This year’s honorees are involved in volunteer work for equality and inclusion, helping businesses succeed, saving animals, promoting the arts, and honoring Rocklin’s history. My favorite is a recipient that runs a “lost and found” for pets! Her organization gathers search parties “day or night” for lost furry friends. Awwww… (Roseville Today)
