- Roseville Police say they have arrested a Rocklin man accused of a $2.2 million embezzlement scheme. Authorities said that trustees for a retirement fund in Sutter County contacted them with concerns about funds that they had transferred to Balance Point Analytics LLC after a representative from that firm, 64-year-old Robert Barnack, convinced them they would get a higher rate of return with the firm. They said they became concerned about their $2.2M investment and requested it to be liquidated and returned, but they were unsuccessful in that request. A civil suit revealed that Barnack had used the funds for personal purchases. Barnack is now being held without bail in the Placer County Jail. (KTXL FOX 40 Sacramento)
