  2. A group of six in Folsom had a rough Christmas as a December 23 fire ravaged a duplex on Montrose Drive. The flames reportedly came from one of the garages, and Folsom and El Dorado Hills fire departments responded. Thankfully, all residents evacuated without injury. (Gold Country Media)
  3. The Roseville City Council approved investment in three of Roseville's older corridors December 21 when it unanimously gave the thumbs up to the Commercial Corridors Project plans. "These Commercial Corridors Project Specific Plans encourage pedestrian-friendly design, public amenities, streetscape beautification, appropriate parking, access to transit, flexible and mixed uses, and housing."
