Police Search for Witnesses to June 4 Stabbing

The stabbing occurred around 2 a.m. June 4 in Old Town Roseville. Police are asking if anyone took photos or videos of the altercation, to call Detective Marc Kelley.

Do you remember where you were around 2 a.m. June 4? Chances are you were sound asleep, but if you happened to be in Old Town Roseville and witnessed a stabbing, Roseville Police are asking for your help.

“We haven’t identified the suspects yet,” spokesperson Dee Dee Gunther said.

The incident occurred just before 2 a.m. on Saturday, June 4 on Lincoln Street, according to police. According to witnesses, a 21-year-old Olivehurst man allegedly got into an altercation with another man inside , but quickly separated, according to the release. Around 2 a.m., friends of both men got into another altercation outside. One of the men reportedly stabbed the Olivehurst man in the back, according to the release.

Gunther said there was a large crowd in the area when the fight occurred and hopes people will come forward with photos or videos of the altercation.

Roseville Police are asking for anyone who took photos or videos or has information about the incident to call Roseville Police Detective Marc Kelley at 916-5073.

Witnesses can also call Roseville Crime Stoppers at 916-783-7867.  Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward if the information they provide leads to an arrest.
