1. In partnership with local wineries, the City of Roseville will offer live music and wine tastings this spring for Wine Down Wednesdays. From Apr. 13 to May 18 on Wednesdays between 5:30 and 7:30 p.m., patrons can sample wines and have a relaxing evening with friends and family. Cabanas are also available to rent. (Roseville Patch)
2. It's official: Drivers in the Sacramento area say Costco is the best place to get gas. According to a poll by the Sacramento Bee, 48 percent of respondents favor the members-only warehouse store's gas stations, likely because it offers lower prices than other area gas stations. 3. A regional push is developing options addressing homelessness in the mid and south Placer region. As part of Phase I, strategies include exploring the need for an emergency shelter, expanding partnerships between law enforcement and social services for outreach and response, and more.
