- This Roseville porch pirate seems to be doing OK. According to his sweatshirt, he's visited Maui. Roseville PD is asking for your help to find this perp. There's a pretty good picture of him from someone's porch camera. He allegedly stole a package from that porch on Saturday. “As the holiday season approaches please keep an eye out for suspicious behavior and call Roseville PD as porch thefts tend to increase during the holidays,” the police department wrote in a social media post. (KTXL FOX 40 Sacramento)
- A full production winery has been proposed for Penryn. A draft environmental impact report is available for public comment. Full copies of the report are available for public review online at https://www.placer.ca.gov/7767/Project-8-Winery . My comment, should anyone care, is "a winery!? Bring it on!" (placer.ca.gov)
- "Rocklin Road from San Francisco Street to Pacific Street will be closed to all traffic from Monday, November 21 through Wednesday, November 23." Detours will be posted. You can also see a detour map at this link.
- Do you like a little Christmas music to get you in a festive mood? Harris Center has a full schedule of concerts and music treats that it's bringing you for the holidays. Roseville Today has summarized it beautifully. My son and I have a rule in our house. Christmas is the only time it is allowed (and required) that everyone sing at the top of their voices even inside! (Roseville Today)

From my notebook:
- "In a building collapse, like those seen in earthquake, operations can require rescues to breach metal structural members in order to gain access to victims. This is a critical component of rescues systems implemented by technical rescue operations like those performed by Roseville Firefighters. This is a unique skill set which must be practiced time and time again to ensure efficiency on the emergency scene. Thank you Big R Metals" who graciously donated metal pieces for the practice sessions. (Roseville Firefighters Local 1592 via Facebook)
- "All Roseville Public Library locations will be open from 10am to 3pm Wednesday, November 23 and closed November 24-25 in observance of Thanksgiving." (Roseville Public Library via Facebook)
