Here are the top stories today in Roseville:
- All of the precipitation we've seen over the past couple of weeks, with a lot of runoff and releases from the dams, to some feels like a waste, since we've been in a drought for so long. Roseville is working to find the answer to that dilemma. "Roseville uses aquifer storage and recovery wells -- ASR for short -- in a project that is relatively unique regionally and statewide." Roseville takes water from Folsom Lake that is being released for flood control and "puts it through its water treatment plant and then stores it in aquifers for later use." Pretty nice system we have here. (CBS Sacramento)
- Roseville will keep its sandbag locations open through today, the city said in an update posted to the website. The city is also continuing to update the information about creek levels at roseville.ca.us/stream. (roseville.ca.us)
- The City of Lincoln has a new YouTube channel. "Please subscribe to this channel to watch [the] Live Stream." Also, the next City Council meeting is scheduled for tonight at 6:00 p.m. You can view the agenda here. (lincolnca.gov)
- Get your sweet-ish tooth at the ready! Roseville is about to get a new pastry shop. Pastry Nouveau is a coffee and pastry shop with an updated flair. "Nowadays pastry, I feel like in general is less sweet, more balance of flavors, more balance of textures, and that's what we're going to focus on," co-owner Julian Perrigo-Jimenez said. The new shop will be in the Eureka Ridge Plaza in the the former location of The Parlor Ice Cream Puffs. (ABC10)

From my notebook:
- "Much of our open space throughout the City has collected a lot of water these past few days. It has made for beautiful and relaxing walks and bike rides along the trails. If you come across any flooded trails, please be safe and stay clear of that area." (Roseville Parks & Recreation via Instagram)
- "Calling all FAB-ulous (50+) seniors. Put on your dancing shoes and get ready for a 'Night Under the Stars' at the 2023 Senior Prom!" at the Woodcreek Golf Club. (Press Release Desk)
