Here are the top three stories today in Roseville:

  1. William Bernard Anderson, the 28-year-old man who was convicted of robbing an elderly woman at a Roseville ATM, was sentenced to 19 years in prison on Thursday by the Placer County Superior Court. The incident reportedly occurred in October of 2018, when Anderson waited for the victim to make a withdrawal, then grabbed her purse out of her hands as she approached her vehicle. A civilian who witnessed the altercation then followed Anderson's vehicle and reported his license plate number to the police, ultimately leading to his arrest, said the Place County District Attorney's office. He will serve his sentence in the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. (CBS Sacramento)
  2. Sutter Health recently announced it will be expanding its Roseville campus with a new 85,000-square-foot medical office building. The four-story building, which will house Sutter's new residency program, is expected to open in 2024. In the future, the building's footprint will be expanded by another 15,000 square feet, although there is not currently a timeline for this "phase two" addition. According to Sacramento Business Journal, Sutter is also obtaining permits to expand the building's adjacent parking garage. (The Business Journals)
  3. Today, Mar. 19, Oakmont High School will be holding its annual Craft Fair and Rummage Sale from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The Oakmont Parents Club invites the Roseville community to shop from local vendors and artisans while supporting the school's athletic, academic, and performing arts programs. Entry is free and there will be live music and food available. Oakmont's campus is located at 1710 Cirby Way. (Roseville Today)
