Happy Tuesday, neighbors! Let's get you all caught up on what's happening locally to start today off on an informed note.

First, today's weather:

Plenty of sunshine. High: 81 Low: 51.

Here are the top three stories in Roseville today:

  1. Automotive repair technicians are in high demand, and the Roseville Adult School is looking to help fill this gap in the job market with a new adult education course, developed with Sierra college. Beginning in Fall 2022, the Roseville Automotive Training Center will begin offering adult evening classes at Adelante High School to become ASE-certified automotive technicians. The Roseville Adult School will hold an informational session about the opportunity via Zoom at 6 p.m. on May 12. Get more details here. (KCRA Sacramento)
  2. A Roseville mother says her 8-year-old daughter was sexually assaulted on the property of the family's apartment complex. Police arrested 47-year-old Andrew Thaddeus Troitan Adam, whom they described as "a transient out of Roseville," for the incident. According to officials, Adam is currently being held without bail at the South Placer Jail. He faces felony charges of lewd or lascivious acts and annoying or molesting a child, as well as misdemeanor charges of indecent exposure and sexual battery. (KCRA Sacramento)
  3. Sunday, May 1, marked the beginning of Roseville's summer landscape irrigation schedule, which increases the number of watering days per week from two to three. Residential properties may now water on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, while businesses and other non-residential sites may water on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. These restrictions don't apply to drip irrigation systems. Get water-saving tips at roseville.ca.us/savewater. (Press Release Desk)
