  1. There is a new three-story classroom building, scheduled to open in Fall 2023 at Sierra College. The college recently placed the first "ceremonial beam" to signify the start of the build. "Sierra College President/Superintendent Willy Duncan, together with Sierra College Board of Trustees President Carol Garcia and Board of Trustees members welcomed the campus community to join them in placing the beam which was signed by the campus community earlier this year." (Roseville Today)
  2. According to the City of Roseville "only Safe and Sane fireworks are legal in the City of Roseville and the legal time of sale for these fireworks is between 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. on June 29 through July 4. The legal time for discharge of Safe and Sane fireworks is from noon on June 28 through 11:59 p.m. on July 4." Some of these beauties have a pretty big area that they spew sparks, so set them back from any spectators and always have a pitcher of water to douse the remnants so no stray sparks can ruin your evening. (Roseville Today)
  3. A home under construction in the Roseville area was destroyed by fire on Monday, Cal Fire said. The building was on Mirabelle Street near PFE Road. The fire ignited some grass nearby, but the firefighters were able to contain it before it got out of control. (KCRA Sacramento)
  4. Wait, a mochi donut and a Korean corndog? That sounds like the fusion food of my dreams! And they're serving it up at Mochinut in Roseville! The restaurant had a soft opening on Monday, according to its Facebook page. The restaurant in Roseville is located at 4191 Thrive Drive and is open from 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. Tuesday - Sunday. 5. Feeling nostalgic for your old Nintendo box or a good old fashioned game of Magic, The Gathering? Fire and Ice Games in Rocklin has you covered. It's only been open for about seven months, but the owners are making a name for themselves in the high end gaming world, with people coming in from other states to take a look at the inventory. And if playing games is more your speed than looking at them, there are card games on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays to get your game on. (Good Day Sacramento)
