  1. Have you been to the Campus Oaks Shopping Center lately? If you have, maybe you noticed the new SAFE Credit Union. It opened on July 18. “The (Roseville) community continues to grow in that area and we are excited that we can grow with them,” said SAFE Vice President Retail Branches Janine Southwick in a press release. “With the added space and updated operating systems, we will have the capacity to serve members more quickly.” SAFE Credit Union’s west Roseville branch manager is Alli Howse, who has been with SAFE Credit Union for seven years. “We look forward to seeing our members in the new branch and to offering improved customer service with more space and better access,” Howse said in the press release. 2. Petra’s business is on fire! Literally… Petra, the Greek restaurant in the Palladio in Folsom, caught fire shortly before 11:00 on Wednesday night. Firefighters converged on the scene and reportedly were able to contain the damage to just the Petra business. It was determined that the fire started due to a cooking appliance. No one was in the building when the fire occurred and there were no injuries reported. (KTXL FOX 40 Sacramento)
  3. City of Roseville Police Department reported that there were two suspects arrested in a construction site theft Friday morning. Police responded to reports of a construction theft in progress in West Roseville and when they arrived they saw the suspect vehicle. It was a wild ride as the suspects attempted to flee. They took their truck offroad, but ended up running into a power pole and taking the lines down. After a futile attempt to flee on foot, the two were arrested and booked into the jail.
