Here are the top three stories today in Roseville:

  1. Roseville's final City Council District Map has officially been approved by an independent redistricting commission made up entirely of community members. The map, which was approved in a public meeting on Monday, will define the City Council district boundaries for the next 10 years. Roseville voters empowered the Commission to adopt the district boundaries without City Council's approval or intervention. (Press Release Desk)
  2. If you're looking for a new fur friend, you just might find one at a Roseville-area animal shelter. Dog people might like Brock the pit bull terrier, or if cats are more your thing, there are lots of cats available, too. Check out the latest local adoptable animals on Patch! (Roseville Patch)
  3. New data shows that the majority of California parents are in favor of mandatory COVID-19 vaccines and masking in schools. A Berkeley Institute of Governmental Studies-Los Angeles Times poll surveyed more than 8,900 California voters and found that 61 percent of parents of school-aged students approve of requiring masks for students, teachers, and staff in schools this year, and 55 percent approve of adding the COVID vaccine to the list of required shots for students in K-12 schools. Roseville Joint Union High School District's board has had a mask-optional policy at its facilities since Feb. 15. (MSN)
