Here are the top three stories today in Roseville:

  1. On Wednesday, Mar. 16, the City of Roseville will hear details of the potential Phase I strategies to address homelessness across the mid and south Placer region. According to a press release, two strategy response groups have been meeting over the last six months and working with consulting firm MIG, Inc. to "review existing conditions and spotlight emerging priorities." MIG, Inc. will make informational presentations to local town and city councils in the weeks ahead, starting with the Roseville City Council meeting this week. So far, the group has indicated they are exploring options like an emergency shelter in south Placer, expanding partnerships between law enforcement and social services, expanding interim and permanent supportive housing, and more. 2. Two people were injured in a garage fire in Roseville's Foothill Junction neighborhood on Friday night, according to authorities. Roseville Fire Department responded to a call from a single-family home and was able to contain the fire to just the garage. One person inside the home was treated and taken to the hospital, while a second person was treated on the scene. No further details have been released. (KCRA Sacramento)
  3. As California gas prices continue to skyrocket, Roseville police warn residents that there may be a corresponding increase in gas theft. Rob Baquera, public information officer with the Roseville Police Department, said these potential thieves may wait at gas stations to attempt to steal fuel through a vehicle's gas cap or even cut a hole in a vehicle's gas tank to drain out the fuel. "Invest in a locking gas cap so someone can’t just come and access your fuel tank through your gas cap," Baquera told ABC 10. (ABC 10)
