  1. At 3 a.m. on Thursday, Roseville fire crews responded to the Cresthaven neighborhood with reports of a garage fire. When they got there, they found a fast-moving fire beginning to threaten surrounding structures. Fortunately, the crews were able to contain the flames to just the garage of the initial home and no surrounding structures were burned. No injuries were reported, but the pictures are pretty spectacular. (KTXL FOX 40 Sacramento)
  2. The Hacienda, in Folsom, is being sold, but ownership isn’t going far. It's being sold to the current owner of Plank just down the street in Old Folsom. Plank owner Michael Sanson also owned Rock-N-Fire before it recently closed. Sanson will update the cuisine and decor for the Hacienda, while continuing with the Mexican theme. The restaurant will be closed for a short period while the updating happens. (KTXL FOX 40 Sacramento)
  3. Approximately 1,157 acres near West Roseville, owned by Michigan-based Hillsdale College, have been approved for development, which would include both a residential development and a university plan. (ABC10.com KXTV)
  4. Believe it or not, more new California laws that may impact you are outlined in Roseville Today: laws pertaining to "alternatives to incarceration, information security, building standards, forensic examinations in domestic violence, firearm manufacturers, and more."
  5. Sierra Foothill League’s All-League rosters were recently released, and several South Placer athletes made the cut, including athletes from Del Oro, Whitney, Rocklin and Granite Bay High schools. Is your favorite student athlete on the list? (Gold Country Media)
