- Roseville Joint Union HSD Superintendent John Becker is sending the students, staff and families off to a great summer with his end of year message. Becker says that one shining Roseville star will spend part of his summer as a Fulbright scholar in Israel, while staff at Adelante and Independent high schools will be working hard on their new curriculum called Roseville Pathways. Hopefully everyone will spend some time enjoying the beauty that Roseville and the surrounding Placer County have to offer. (Roseville Today)
- The Rocklin Police Department announced the arrest of a felon found in possession of a gun. During a traffic stop for a code violation, officers confirmed that the driver was on parole. A search of the vehicle revealed a loaded gun under the passenger's seat. The suspect, 21-year-old Antwan Taylor of Stockton, was arrested for several firearms violations, including a charge of being a felon in possession of a firearm. (CBS Sacramento)
- Good old fashioned hard work, an amazing doctor and a miracle was all Evan Beauchamp needed to get himself walking again after a devastating ATV crash that shattered his spine in 2020. "I was worried about Evan. In fact, I remember talking to Evan and his family, telling them just how bad this injury was and the real possibility that he could end up paraplegic," said his physician, Dr. Eric Klineberg with UC Davis Health. It turns out he needn't have worried. Evan literally put his back into some intense physical therapy and six months later, he's zip-lining, wake surfing, deadlifting more than 300 pounds and more.
