- Kaiser Permanente in Roseville has been recognized by Newsweek Magazine as one of the best maternity hospitals in the country. Per ABC10 "the 'Newsweek' report identifies leading maternity care programs that have met or exceeded rigorous quality and safety standards.
Kaiser Permanente has a total of 24 hospitals that received the elite designation and approximately 40% of those are listed in California." (ABC10.com KXTV) - Have you seen Folsom Lake's floatin' food? No, it's not dead fish, it's a food truck for the water called Anchor Eats! A former line cook from Sellands had the brilliant idea to take his food to the hungry boaters on the lake and Anchor Eats was born! Launched on Memorial Day this year, it attracts boaters from all over the lake for their juicy burgers and ice cream cups. If you see them, shout "ahoy!" and hurry over before all the eats is eaten. (Mountain Democrat)
- Did you notice smoky skies in Rocklin Thursday morning? That was residual smoke from the a vegetation fire that ignited Wednesday night and burned into the early morning hours near 4400 Greenbrae Road in Rocklin. It burned about two acres. No injuries were reported. (KTXL FOX 40 Sacramento)
- According to Roseville Real Estate agent Julie Jalone, the housing market in Roseville "can be viewed as balanced where supply and demand for homes are about the same." That's a far cry from a few months ago when homes were being snapped up almost before they were listed! The median listing price was $675,000 and most homes went for their listed price. The median number of days a listing stayed on the market in Roseville in July was 45-days. (Roseville Today)
