- There was another porch pirate incident in Roseville, but this time it's on video. Roseville police say the suspect followed an Amazon truck and pulled into a parking lot when the package was delivered. He then waited about 20 minutes and when he thought the coast was clear, he nabbed the package. If you recognize him or know anything about the incident, Roseville police are asking you to call Roseville Police Department Investigations at 916-774-5070 and reference case # 2022-57092. - Curbside leaf pickup will start on October 31 for Roseville. Some areas of Roseville will pick up leaf piles and others require you to put the leaves in bags and let them know you need a pickup. Determine whether bagged or loose-leaf pickup is available in your area at this link from the city. (roseville.ca.us)
- One of our very own is getting a well-deserved honor from the U.S. Navy. Roseville's Lt. Curtis R. Olsen, III will receive the 2022 Rear Adm. Frederick B. Warder Award for Outstanding Achievement. Curtis was born and raised in The 'Ville and is a 2018 graduate of the United States Naval Academy. His efforts "developed and refined tactics, techniques, and procedures vital to the Naval Special Warfare and Virginia-class submarine Lockout Trunk Operations in far forward and non-permissive environments." - A rollover accident caused delays along Interstate 80 at the Highway 65 interchange on Friday morning. The accident snarled the Friday morning commute. There are no details on how the accident occurred or whether there were any injuries, at the time of this reporting. (Gold Country Media)
- Barktoberfest is at Johnson-Springview Park today! The fun starts at 10:00 a.m. There will be "four-legged-friendly" activities like canine contests and games, and the pet parents will not be forgotten, with a biergarten just for them.
