Here are the top three stories today in Roseville:
- On Monday night, hundreds of local residents gathered at the Roseville Civic Center to show their support and solidarity for Ukraine in the wake of its war against Russia. According to FOX 40, organizers of "Pray for Ukraine" extended the event for an extra hour until 9 p.m. because they "had so many people sign up to talk." Among those who presented at the event were Ukrainian pastors, translators, and city council members, as well as live musicians. (KTXL FOX 40 Sacramento)
- Since 2019, multiple Roseville realtors have reported the same experience at their open houses: A couple claims to be looking for a house for their mom, looks around, then leaves the house having stolen "everything from pills to clothes and cash." This weekend, the infamous couple allegedly struck again, and real estate agent Rick Girvin and his colleagues have officially filed a complaint with the Roseville Police Department. "We have pictures, we have video statements. I think that should be plenty for them to make a case," Girvin told CBS Sacramento. RPD said they will begin looking into any potential leads "as soon as they have official police reports from the homeowners," but in the meantime, they advise any homeowners hosting an open house to lock up their valuables.
