I've lived in Roseville for ten years and have watched as the city leaders have worked hard to build for the future while preserving the past. New shopping areas, such as the Fountains at Roseville, combined with inviting parks, libraries and museums, offer wonderful community gathering places, as does our newest destination, Vernon Street Town Square.
Historic Roseville remains a reminder of our past, with many of the buildings retaining their sense of history. The Carnegie Museum, which is now home to the Roseville Historical Society, protects our heritage, and preserves our story, as does the History Collection at the Roseville Public Library.
The photo which accompanies this post is easy to recognize, and is a testament to those who have worked diligently to protect our businesses, homes, and lives throughout the years. Without giving the location away, Click here to learn more.
October is National Archives Month, and those who like history may want to check out the Sacramento Archives Crawl, being held on Oct 5th, or Family History Day, happening on Oct. 12th.
