- Looking for summer fun that doesn't bust the budget? Roseville Today has put together a list of budget-friendly summer activities around town. Staycation, anyone? (Roseville Today)
- Roseville Concerts on the Square are BACK at Town Square and admission is always free. The series kicks off on June 18 with Scorpions tribute band Lovedrive. Gates open at 6:30 and the concerts start at 7:30. (Roseville Today)
- Presented by The Placer County Historical Society, Rocklin native Alfred Corral (he even has a park named after his family in Rocklin) will be the speaker for the June 2 general dinner meeting at the Auburn Veterans Hall. Corral will speak on “Coming to America – The arrival of the Spanish in Rocklin.” Non-members are welcome and there is no fee to attend. (Gold Country Media)
- For those of you who love the beautiful outdoor natural playground that Placer County offers, you'll love this story. According to a Placer County press release "the Placer County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday approved the first-ever countywide Placer County Parks and Trails Master Plan, which could double the amount of recreation acreage by 2040 and triple the amount of trail miles." - There is a stone memorial in Rusch Park in Citrus Heights, with a bronze plaque bearing the names of 272 Citrus Heights residents. The names honor residents who either died or served in World War II, but it wasn’t originally placed in Rusch Park. Theodore C. Mitchell, believed to be Citrus Heights' longest living resident is named on the memorial. Today in Roseville:
- Head out to Morgan Oaks in Lincoln to honor those who lost their lives while serving in the U.S. Military. There will be a military flyover and the Wildheart Riders will be doing a flag performance on their horses. Bagels, doughnuts and coffee will be served! (9 a.m.)
- Paint a Country Road at Painkillers Pub & Grub in Rocklin. Get your creative juices flowing as you sip on cocktails, enjoy a meal and learn how to paint like the masters. (6 p.m.)
- The Bad Guys is playing at Studio Movie Grill in Rocklin. (6:15 p.m.)

- Alzheimer’s is a leading cause of death in Placer County, where the population is older on average compared to the state as a whole. The “Know Where Alzheimer’s Hides” campaign is a partnership with the Alzheimer’s Association, a nationwide nonprofit organization. The campaign and its dedicated website are aimed at educating the public on the warning signs of Alzheimer's and raising awareness of the importance of healthy brain habits, early detection and diagnosis. - Roseville Public Library Spin, Pop, Boom! Science Show is happening Friday, June 10 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Maidu Community Center! Watch the Mad Scientist change water to juice, test out a flaming didgeridoo and create an explosive foam factory! (Facebook)
- It's coming up on fire season and our notoriously HOT summer which can sometimes result in medical emergencies if you aren't vigilant. The City of Roseville and the County of Placer have some tools and tips for you to keep you safe in the event of these and other emergencies.
