- Since the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Roseville community has come together to support and send aid to the Ukrainian people. Residents and businesses have participated in demonstrations and collected donations for the refugees. The First Ukrainian Baptist Church of Sacramento has raised $25,000 as well as clothes, medicine, and other items to be shipped to the war-torn country. (ABC10.com KXTV)
- Kim Summers was named interim Chief Executive Officer of Placer Valley Tourism and @the Grounds. Lauryl Hernandez, chair of PVT Board of Directors and General Manager of Hyatt Place in Roseville, said Summers was a natural choice. Summers previously held the role of marketing director and has been with the organization since 2008. Placer Valley Tourism brings hundreds of events to Roseville, Rocklin, Lincoln, and South Placer County, while @the Grounds is a multi-purpose event facility on 61 acres in Roseville. - The local forecast projects plenty of sunshine for Friday, Mar. 11 with a high of 70 and a low of 40. Increased cloudiness is predicted for Saturday, Mar. 12 with a high of 73 and a low of 47.
