Roseville Woman Attacked Inside Her Residence

Anibal Pascual, 19, was arrested on charges of suspicion of attempted rape following a July 6 attack.

A 19-year-old man was arrested after allegedly breaking into a woman’s home and attacking her.

The incident occurred around 3:40 a.m. July 6 near South Cirby Way and McKinley Drive in Roseville, according to Dee Dee Gunther, spokesperson for the . Anibal Pascual was arrested following a short search of the area after the reported incident.

The woman’s name and age were not released as a precaution to protect her identity, Gunther said.

The woman was taken to the hospital following the alleged attack, Gunther said.

“She put up quite a fight,” Gunther said. “She fought him off and he ran out. She immediately reported it.”

Gunther said the woman was specifically targeted by Pascual, but said they were not acquaintances.

“She had seen him around the neighborhood,” Gunther said.

In the police report, there was no mention of forcible entry, so it is unclear how Pascual entered the residence, Gunther said.

Pascual is being held in the Placer County Jail without bail. He was booked on charges of suspicion of assault with attempt to commit rape, attempted rape, burglary and illegal entry into the U.S.
