3. Next time you're at a game between Oakmont and Placer High School, take a moment to listen to the announcer. It's Scott Gordon, an experienced broadcaster and sideline reporter who has spent time working in the NFL. He's the new announcer for Placer High! He has done stints as the color commentator for Nevada Wolf Pack football and working at Comcast SportsNet. In addition to Placer games, Gordon will call UC Davis home football games on ESPN+ this season. I know the most exciting part of the game won't be the announcer, but in the back of your mind, don't you think it's kinda cool to listen to the smooth voice of a seasoned pro? (Gold Country Media)

5. There's a new business in town. Local chain LaziCow, is adding a location in Roseville (1850 Douglas Boulevard). It hand-churns ice cream! Yum!
