Here are the top four stories in Roseville today:
- Two Rocklin Unified School District employees received the highest accolades from the County Office of Education for their roles in the education of our young people. Granite Oaks Middle School’s Miranda Lema was announced as the 2022 Placer County Middle School Teacher of the Year and Whitney High School’s Tamara Fernandes was announced as the the 2022 Placer County Classified School Employee of the Year in the Clerical & Administrative Services category. (Roseville Today)
- The City of Roseville provides several convenient locations for you to drop off unwanted cardboard. See the list of locations at this link. Note that styrofoam and newspaper is no longer accepted at these locations. (roseville.ca.us)
- With no March miracle or late spring deluge, 2022 is shaping up to be an awfully dry year. This year’s snowpack and water content remain below average in the Sierra where snowmelt helps fill the state’s largest reservoirs. We're very slightly ahead of last year in both snowpack and water content, but that is still woefully short of average for this time of year. (Roseville Today)
- The Placer County Sheriff's deputies are currently searching for a red Chevrolet Tahoe with decals on the side and back windows that say "Affordable Dent Repair." According to the Yolo County Sheriff's Office, the Tahoe was used during an alleged burglary in Esparto on March 22. The Placer County Sheriff's Office urges anybody who believes they have been approached by anyone associated with the red Chevy Tahoe between April and May to contact Detective Stokes at dstokes@placer.ca.gov.
