Sacramento Coast Guard Celebrates 100 Years of Aviation
The 'Centennial of Coast Guard Aviation Open House' celebration on October 15 is free, open to the public and family-friendly.

Coast Guard personnel at Air Station Sacramento are scheduled to host an open house celebrating 100 years of Coast Guard aviation on the grounds of McClellan Airfield in Sacramento, Saturday, Oct. 15 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The event is free, open to the public and will be family-friendly with static displays of the Coast Guard's C-27 Spartan airplane, a centennial-painted MH-65 Dolphin helicopter from San Francisco and a Sacramento Metropolitan Fire Department fire truck.
The Aerospace Museum of California is scheduled to be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with several aircraft available to view.

Coast Guard members will also be at the museum, which is scheduled to have a special admission price of $5 for the day.
Those purchasing tickets can attend the Coast Guard’s Open House and show receipt to return to the Museum for all-day admission privileges. Parking in the Museum lot will be allowed for those attending the open house.
