  1. Who knew you could find Santa in a vending machine? That's how it works with the new Giving Machines at the Galleria Mall in Roseville. You can purchase items such as educational supplies, job training and bedding for people in need, locally and worldwide, through these machines—and 100% of the proceeds are given to partner nonprofit organizations.   2. A Sacramento man was sentenced to prison for selling fentanyl in Placer County. Police in Lincoln saw 34-year-old Travis Richardson throwing multiple plastic baggies "filled with a 'chalk-like substance'" into the bushes. As part of his sentence, the judge added a warning to Richardson that a murder charge could be in his future if future sales lead to death. (CBS Sacramento via MSN)
  3. In the early morning hours of Tuesday, November 29, multiple victims in the area of Joiner Parkway and Lincoln Boulevard had their tires and rims stolen. Lincoln police are now on the lookout for the suspects, who reportedly were driving a white Hyundai sedan. "Police are asking the community for any images or video footage related to theses incidents. Those with any information can contact Officer Gorbet at dylan.gorbet@lincolnca.gov."   4. Former Roseville wastewater employee Kenneth Glotzbach may finally be coming to justice. Glotzbach was first arrested in November 2021 for misuse of public funds. Per Gold Country Media: "Glotzbach billed the city of Roseville, Placer County and the South Placer Municipal Utilities District a total of $307,737.27 of fraudulent invoices, credit card charges and public funding from 2018 to 2021.” His sentencing hearing is set for December 16.   5. Roseville City School District Superintendent Derk Garcia has an uplifting holiday message for everyone in the RCUSD family. He's excited to end the calendar year on a high note across the campuses and extends warm wishes for the holiday season. Read his note to the district in Roseville Today.
