- As of press time Wednesday, Placer County Sheriff’s investigators were still searching for a person suspected of killing a 41-year-old woman in her home on Livoti Avenue in unincorporated Roseville. The victim was found in the residence shortly after midnight on Wednesday by officers responding to a 911 call. Anyone with information or security camera footage of the area is urged to call the homicide tip line at (530) 889-7853. (KCRA 3, Placer County Sheriff’s Office Facebook 1 and 2)
- Start stretching, Roseville! You’ll want to be good and limber when FunBox lands in the parking lot at the Westfield Galleria this weekend. Bouncers of all ages can come play in this 25,000 square foot zone of inflatable fun with features like a 23-foot slide, a dodgeball court, a battle beam, a sumo challenge, a giant maze, music spun by a DJ in a giant blow-up octopus and a “Million-Dollar Selfie Emporium” with 24 large art installations from around the globe. Now that you’re all excited, there is some sad news: it is already sold out for this weekend. All other 2-hour slots were open as of press time Wednesday, so get your tickets ASAP. General Admission is $22, military and veterans are $19, toddlers and seniors are free. (Roseville Today)
- Earth Day is tomorrow for those of you wanting to honor all the great things our planet does for us. Catch a couple of the Earth Day events happening Saturday. The Loomis Library and Community Center will have an Earth Day and National Forest Day Celebration featuring a butterfly garden planting from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Or you could “go green” by properly disposing of your electronic waste at one of the collection sites happening in the City of Rocklin: in the overflow parking lot at Sierra College, the Rocklin Corporation Yard and Whitney Park.
