Here are the top five stories in Roseville today:
- Out of 423 schools offering nursing programs in the western region Sierra College was ranked number one by Nursing Process. “This recognition as a top program, not just in California but the entire western region of the country is a testament to the amazing work done by our faculty and staff and incredible resilience of our students who have completed their programs at Sierra College, passed their NCLEX exams and are now helping serve patients where they are greatly needed,” Nancy James, Dean, Nursing and Allied Health at Sierra College said. - Welcome David Kwong as the new director of the Placer County Community Development Resource Agency. In this role, he is responsible for land use and development for the county, including planning, permitting and code compliance, among other duties. “David’s superior experience, aptitude and leadership are just some of the qualities that make him the right selection as our new CDRA director,” said interim Placer County Executive Officer Jane Christenson. - There is less than one week until the grand opening of Raley's O-N-E Market in Roseville! It'll be a full service grocery store, with a deli making fresh meals every day, plus you'll get a sit-down café & wine bar to boot! Doors open on June 16. (Facebook)
- If you live in Loomis, you may soon be seeing an increase in your waste disposal fees. The Town Council will hold a public hearing regarding a fee hike at the meeting next Tuesday. "The increase reflects an increase to the average residential customer’s monthly garbage bill between 1.4 and 2.3 percent, depending upon the type of service," staff said. (Gold Country Media)
