Having recently established myself as the weekly Emcee at the Wednesday Night Comedy Showcase at Sammy's Rockin' Island Bar & Grill in Roseville, I've experienced a few firsts. We've had a heckler, a mayor and a soccer mom who isn't all she appears to be.
I've also now experienced the thrill of a cancelled comedian with about 24 hours notice.
I expected this would happen at some point but one can never be fully prepared. The comedian who cancelled is someone I respect professionally and personally so I am quite sure the reason is more than valid.
I am also sure that the comedian who stepped up on short notice is more than capable of delivering a super set and in fact could be headlining this week if needed. Thanks to Nick Aragon for rescuing the new guy from a predicament and Jason Resler - yes, that Jason Resler - for recommending Nick.
