  3. Placer County supervisors Jim Holmes and Suzanne Jones want you to get involved in the 2050 Regional Transportation Plan developed by the Placer County Transportation Planning Agency. They are asking for your help: "Starting Nov. 1, Placer County Transportation Planning Agency is launching an online survey to assess your current priorities and to share your vision for the future of our region’s multi-modal transportation network." There will also be workshop opportunities for you to learn more. The survey can be accessed by visiting https://pctpa.net/rtp2050/. (Gold Country Media)
  4. From Roseville Parks & Recreation: "Take a look at the before and after photos of recent flood prevention work by our Urban Forestry, Open Space and Public Works teams.... (Roseville Parks & Recreation via Instagram)
  5. The Western Placer Unified School District has changed its student dress code, effective immediately. The change was driven by “students, primarily female, being upset that the current policy was unfairly discriminating against them." The students may now wear hats and head coverings inside, and, as long as a garment "generally conceals the abdomen and undergarments," it is within the dress code. (Gold Country Media)
